Care and Sessions
How should I arrive for my hair appointment?Please arrive with your hair down, detangled, and 100% dry. Avoid braids, twist-outs, buns, or hair ties prior to your appointment. Light to normal product is fine. Curly cuts and most color services are performed on dry hair to honor the natural pattern.
How often should I receive a curly cut?Seasonally is a great guideline — approximately every 4–5 months
Why are textured cuts done on dry hair?Cutting textured hair dry allows me to see how your curls and waves naturally fall, creating the most balanced, blended, and flattering shape.
What products are used?Innersense Organic Beauty, Briogeo, Cecred and AG Naturals are used for care and styling. Wella and Redken are used for color services.
May I bring a guest?One guest is welcome for hair services. Please note that guests are not permitted for private sound baths or Reiki sessions.
Sound Baths
What is a sound bath?A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience using sound and frequency to support rest, energetic movement, and nervous system regulation. Guests may lie down or sit comfortably during the session.
How do I prepare?Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, blanket, or pillow if desired — chairs are an option if needed. Come hydrated, open-minded, and allow yourself to rest. You’re welcome to set a personal intention.
How many people attend group sound baths?Typically 4-15 participants. Children are allowed at your discretion ensuring your child can respect the shared, quiet nature of the space.
Will scents be used?Yes. Palo Santo, sage, incense, or essential oils/energetic mist will be used to cleanse the space. You’re always welcome to decline any direct aromatic offerings.
What might I experience after a sound bath?Each experience is unique. Some people feel deeply relaxed, emotional, energized, reflective, or experience vivid dreams. Others may feel very little. All responses are normal.
Reiki (Angelic & Usui)
What is a Reiki?Reiki is a gentle, spiritually guided energy practice that supports balance across the body, mind, and spirit. It does not conflict with any faith or belief system.
What is Angelic Reiki?Angelic Reiki works with high-frequency energy held in unconditional love, supporting remembrance, release, and reconnection to one’s Divine essence.
What happens during a session?Sessions may be hands-on or conducted remotely. You’ll rest comfortably while energy is offered through intentional hand placements. Each session is intuitive and unique.
What can I expect afterwards?Experiences vary. Some feel calm, clear, emotional release, insight, or deep rest. Healing unfolds in its own timing and form.
Do you offer private sound baths or Reiki?Yes. Private sound baths are available for personal sessions or group gatherings. All Reiki sessions can be offered via video call or in the comfort of the recipient’s home.

These guidelines are in place to honor time, energy, and the care held within each session.
Appointments & Cancellations
All services at Motherheart are offered by appointment only.
A 48-hour notice is required for any appointment changes or cancellations.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged 75% of the service total.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows will be charged 100% of the service amount.
Deposits are non-refundable and are applied toward your service total.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time so your session can unfold fully.
Arriving late may result in a shortened service or the need to reschedule.
If you anticipate being more than 10 minutes late, please reach out so we can advise you accordingly.
Refunds & Adjustments
Services are non-refundable, including hair services, sound baths, and Reiki.
Haircut or color adjustments are welcomed within three (3) days of your appointment. If an adjustment is needed, please reach out and an effort will be made to reschedule at no additional charge, at Motherheart’s discretion.
Adjustments cannot be made if outside work or self-applied color or cuts have been performed after your service.
For sound bath events affected by weather, payments will be applied to the rescheduled date.
Holistic Services
Sound baths, Reiki, and other energetic modalities are offered as supportive practices for relaxation, reflection, and balance. Individual experiences may vary. Please refer to the Care and Sessions section and intake forms for additional guidance.
Privacy
Your information is used solely for scheduling and communication related to your appointment. All personal and payment information is kept private and is never sold or shared.
